I’m finally continuing the long-awaited OOTD series! I’ve coordinated many outfits that I love since the last post I did, so I decided to organize them by color so I don’t overwhelm you all with my many looks.
I’m beginning with red, the first color of the rainbow and the first color of the chakras in Yoga philosophy. This post also includes two orange outfits, which are representative of the second chakra.
Side note- I finally began teaching the chakra yoga classes I’ve wanted to do since New Year’s on Friday!
Anyway, below are the looks. Enjoy!
1. Red Stripes and Bells
This was an early-spring/end-of-winter look, and I think it packs a ton of attitude. The shirt was my mom’s and the skirt is an oldie from Forever 21.
These are my favorite Marc Fisher boots!! It is also my favorite birthday purchase #23
The necklace is a hand-me-down from my mom, and the earrings are alien spaceships I got from Hot Topic.
I love this kimono I got from Target. It totally elevates any outfit I pair it with.
My comfy grey dress was my mom’s and it’s by a young Russian designer that I found through Teen Vogue when I was in middle school. I honestly don’t know if she still designs or if her store in Manhattan is still there.
I got my shoes on clearance! They are Franco Sarto and they’re very comfy. I love the silver heel and how unique the color is. It’s like an orange-y red.
I got my turquoise necklace from a Native American store in the Grand Canyon. It is my favorite purchase from traveling to Las Vegas a few years ago. My earrings were a gift from my mom.
My blue beaded bracelet is a gift from my mom when she visited my grandma in Puerto Rico. I always ask her to bring me back jewelry when she visits because I love funky jewelry, especially when it’s handmade by someone who shares my heritage.
3. Orange Orange
I was really vibing with the color orange the day I put this together lol
In the chakras, the color orange is related to sexuality and creativity. Perhaps these things were a little heightened for me.
Anyway, the sweater was my mom’s and it’s a perfect sweater for autumn because of its soft, warm browns. My shirt was probably less than $10 on clearance from Old Navy. My pants are from Kohl’s young professional collection.
Here’s my look without the sweater!
My shoes are Indigo Red and they’re so comfy and cute!
My necklace says “She Believed She Could” on one side, and the other side says “So She Did.” It was a graduation gift from my mom last May.
My earrings are a gift from my mom from her latest trip to Puerto Rico.
My eyeshadow look was created using Tarte’s Toasted palette I got for the holidays.
My bracelet was also from Puerto Rico.
4. Be Mine, Clementine
This shirt was a gift from my mom when she went to Anthropology with my sister for my sister’s 21st birthday. Considering how expensive that store is, the shirt isn’t great quality. I am pretty sure it shrunk after washing it once, and that’s without drying it. Thankfully I got it in a big enough size so that it still fits. Otherwise, I love the shirt. It’s very fun and summery.
My skirt was my mom’s and it’s a perfect casual skirt for work because it’s denim yet it’s about knee-length.
My earrings are the same as above. My necklace was a stone that my late-grandma had collected, which was then transformed into a necklace.
I love these shoes.
Both of my bracelets are handmade from Puerto Rico <3
What was your favorite look? Let me know in the comments below!
Also, stay tuned for the yellow and green looks!
Recently I bought a bunch of professional clothes before I knew I was going to be working in a casual office. By “casual,” I mean Uggs and leggings or jeans and t-shirts. It’s very casual. That may be partially attributed to the fact that I work in a warehouse as opposed to the sleek corporate office I was in before.
So now, I’m one of the most fashionable and probably the most over-dressed employees. I’m okay with that though. I’m used to standing out a bit due to my consistently eclectic wardrobe. I don’t think I was nominated for “Most Unique” in high school because I’m weird. I mean…I am weird, but who isn’t?!
Below are some new outfits I’ve worn recently that I love. Scroll through, be inspired, and enjoy!
1. Burnt Orange Delight
I am obsessed with this dress!!! It’s a Free People dress, but my mom got it for me on clearance at Macy’s. I love Free People, but not the prices of their clothing. Thankfully their goods can be found on sale at Macy’s or TJ Maxx! You can’t really tell in the picture, but the dress wraps around the waist and I tie it in a bow in the back. I love it. It makes me feel simultaneously feminine, flirty, and professional.
My earrings are paintings of coquis, or frogs found in Puerto Rico. My mom bought them for me on one of her trips to Puerto Rico to visit my grandma. My orange gemstone necklace is a stone that my dad’s mom had. My aunt made all of the gemstones she had into necklaces and gave them to all of my cousins. I chose the orange one. The smaller necklace is a sweet charm my maternal grandparents got for me.
My shoes are one of my new purchases and the brand is Indigo Rd. I adore the color, and they’re surprisingly super comfortable. I wore them when I visited my friend a few weekends ago, and we did a ton of walking and they didn’t bother my feet at all. (I have very flat feet, so comfortable footwear is extremely important to me).
2. Pretty in Pink
I am obsessed with this skirt!!! I bought a ton of colorful professional skirts from Express for spring/summer, and they are all fantastic. Right now I’m attracted to hot pink, which is kind of unexpected for me. Then again, I have loved the color in the past…but my relationship with hot pink is complicated, to say the least.
The color of this skirt is technically called Flamingo Pink, which causes me love it even more because it reminds me of a project I did in 3rd grade about the species. Did you know that flamingoes get their pink color from shrimp??
My shirt is my mom’s old shirt, and my mom got me those cool, flower-printed tights a few years ago. My heeled-booties were a gift for either my twentieth or twenty-first birthday. They’re Marc Fisher. I love that brand.
My Betsey Johnson earrings are a gift from my mom back when I was in high school. My heart chain necklace is a hand-me-down from my step-grandma’s mom. Lastly, my green flower necklace is something I pulled out from the depths of my dusty closet. I probably bought it in middle school.
3. Angsty Holiday Cheer
This skirt is so unique! My mom got it for me from Kohl’s around the holidays, which is why it has a wintery plaid print. I’m wearing it with a red sweater from Old Navy and super old lace-up boots from Aldo.
A perk to working in a casual office is that I can integrate some of my edgier pieces into my outfits, such as these boots! My mom got these Aldo boots for me a few years ago to replace a pair just like them that I had back in high school.
My necklace is another hand-me-down from my step-grandma’s mom. My earrings here are also Betsey (I love her stuff) and I’ve also had them since high school.
4. Chic yet Fiery Professional
I planned my outfit around these new shoes I got on clearance at DSW. I’ve been looking for a loafer to wear during the warmer months because I won’t be able to wear my wonderful tall boots during that time. I have several heels that I can wear, but I didn’t have a nice flat shoe, until now!
The shirt is my mom’s old button-up and the sweater is a gift from my maternal grandparents from Eddie Bauer. My pants are from Kohl’s, and they’re super soft and stretchy.
My shoes are Franco Sarto. I love the silver heel accent.
I’ve had my necklace since middle school. I got it from a woman who had a jewelry shop in her basement.
5. Busy Bee
I actually got a few compliments on this outfit at work!
My skirt is from Express, and it actually has pockets as you can see below. I love that it has a paper-bag feel with the ruffly top. My shirt is from Abercrombie and Fitch.
When I was looking for loafers, I came across this pair of shoes by Naturalizers. I didn’t need them, but I loved them and I am a big fan of this brand. I have a few other pairs Naturalizers. Their footwear is very comfortable and they have excellent styles.
When I brought these shoes home, my mom loved them shoes so she got herself a pair too haha
My flower bracelet is Betsey Johnson. I got it for my 8th-grade graduation with a matching necklace, earrings, and ring.
I’m only wearing the matching earrings for this look though. They’re bees! They match my yellow and black ascetic perfectly!
6. Ice Queen/Silver Everything!
I don’t think I’ve worn this much silver/grey before, but I definitely want to do it more often! I felt so chic.
My sister got me this sweater from Aerie when they came in a truck to sell things on campus. It’s super soft and I love the glitter in it! My pants are from Kohl’s, and I adore the pattern and zipper accents. You can see a better picture of them below.
My new shoes scream Duckie from Pretty in Pink. I love them so much not only because they feel so 80s (I love 80s stuff), but also because the color is so unique and I’m a big fan of buckles. They’re just a super cool pair of shoes. I wish I had found them sooner, although I don’t know if they existed until now.
Anyway, my mom got them for me spontaneously when we were returning a pair of shoes to DSW. We found them in the clearance section, and they seemed destined for my feet. They’re Bleecker and Bond.
My ex got me these wonderfully warm, furry, and glittery socks from DSW. The socks look beautiful with my shoes.
My necklace was a gift from my maternal grandparents. I probably got it in high school, so I don’t know where it’s from. My earrings are simple and I think they’re from Kohl’s.
That’s all for now! I’ll be sure to share my other looks soon!
What was your favorite look? Where do you like to shop? Let me know in the comments!
Some of my older OOTD:
The following are from 2014…ohemgee
Autumn is my favorite season, thus my wardrobe has been very autumn-esque since August! I always take poor quality photos of my outfits, but I haven’t shared any of them on my blog since 2014!! So today, before the holiday season takes over, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my favorites this season. One day I will take photos with better quality and with better lighting, but in the meantime, bear with me.
Hocus Pocus Forever
My girlfriend kindly surprised me with this Binx bag from Disney’s recent Hocus Pocus collection. I’m obsessed with this bag and I’ve been using it nonstop. It’s the perfect mix of eccentric and practical.
The shirt is also from Disney’s Hocus Pocus collection! The front says: Don’t light the black flame candle, and the back is pictured below.
My sister has glow-in-the-dark shirt Disney Halloween shirt. Disney had some awesome gear this year!
The outfit above features my pastel pumpkin-colored pants from Hollister! I purchased these about three years ago when my sister was working at Hollister and I was working at Abercrombie. I matched my pants with an orange stone necklace my late grandmother had given me. Peep my green Halloween socks with witches!
The second plaid outfit above is newer. I purchased the pants from Target’s latest collection. They are comfy yet kind of stiff and loose…basically, the quality isn’t amazing but they will do for now. They look very cute though!
My shirt is from Abercrombie from about a year ago. My bag is Binx obviously, but in this photo, you can see my witch hand sanitizer case more clearly! That hand sanitizer case was part of a set from Bath and Body Works, the other one being a vampire, which my sister has. They have magnets inside so they connect when they’re next to each other, it’s very cute. Also, I’m holding my Buffy comic book because Buffy is the best thing ever.
These next few outfits aren’t all super fall-esque, but they’re very cute!
This was my first day of work outfit! It features old pants that need to be donated and my mom’s old shirt and sweater. The necklace is a jasper and turquoise necklace, which matches the details on my shirt.
My mom got me the pants above recently for work! They’re from Kohl’s and they’re quite funky since they’re a black and white checkered pattern and ankle-length. They’re stretchy, comfy, and high-waisted, and I felt fabulous in this look! The shirt is also from Kohl’s but it’s about four years old now.
Casual Working Girl
The sweater above is my mom’s old sweater, and I really love it. The style is fun and perfect for fall. I wore it with my light grey jeans, which remind me of scarecrows because they’re frayed at the ankles, from TJ Maxx.
This look is one of my favorites! I bought the earrings from the yoga studio I attended in the summer. They’re blue on the outside and orange in the center. I matched the earrings with the pendant that my step-grandma’s mom had, and this orange shirt my mom got me from the clearance section at Old Navy!
The sweater is my mom’s and the pants are the same grey ones from TJ Maxx.
My Halloween look this year included my witch sweater from TJ Maxx and my Buffy cosplay coat from Hot Topic’s Buffy 20-year Anniversary collection last year! It has beautiful details that only Buffy fans would understand. I also wore Halloween bat earrings from Betsy Johnson, but I didn’t snap a pic of them.
Those are all my fall-festive outfits! Did you like this series? Should I bring it back?
Let me know in the comments below!
The weather around here has gone from humid heat to cool and gloomy, like the weather in The Goonies. It’s the perfect autumn weather, despite it being a little bit early. I’m okay with autumn arriving early though because it’s my favorite season!
My birthday is in the fall and so is my favorite holiday: Halloween! I decorated my room for Halloween in August and I’ve been wearing an autumn color palette for several weeks as well. I’m excited to be home this year for the season because I get to actually see the leaves change colors too.
Another great thing about autumn is that Bath and Body Works releases an autumn/Halloween beauty line! This season is my favorite time to shop at B&BW, but I shop there every season with my sister and my mom. We always get the seasonal soaps, lotions, body sprays, and oil diffusers. It’s a fun seasonal tradition because the aromas really get you into the spirit of whatever season it is.
Since I go every season, I don’t always finish the products I buy. Sometimes I don’t finish them because the scent I got was limited edition (most of their stuff these days seem to be) and I’m reluctant to finish them. Thus, I thought it’d be fun to share my collection of Bath and Body Works items I have accumulated over the last two years or so, in addition to the latest scents that I will be wearing this season!
Not all of the scents are available in stores anymore, but I found some shops on Amazon that sell them. They may or may not be reasonably priced though.
If you only want to see this year’s autumn scents, please scroll down to the bottom 🙂
Nearly Empty Lotions:
Aquamarine came out this past spring I believe and they don’t sell it anymore. I got it in conjunction with a sparkly body spray of the same scent. The scent is described as a blend of ocean water, mint, and wet stone. It’s super refreshing and feminine in a unique way. It’s definitely one of my favorites even though it doesn’t fall under my preferable aromas which are vanilla, marshmallow, and almond.
Sandalwood Rose came out either two or three winter holidays ago. It emerged around the beginning of their aromatherapy line, and I’m devasted that they discontinued it because sandalwood rose is my favorite aroma next to vanilla, marshmallow, and almond. I even remember the first time I smelled this combination: I was in elementary school and taking yoga at the recreation center in my town. The instructor had given me the remains of a sandalwood rose oil and I held onto it for as many years as I could until I eventually had to throw it away.
This combination is so good because it has a “warm” smell that I tend to gravitate towards, but it’s also feminine without being fruity. It’s fantastic, I highly recommend it.
Happiness is part of Bath and Body Works current aromatherapy line, and this product definitely incites joy. This lotion is a combination of bergamot and mandarin essential oils, so it’s very bright and almost spicy. I use it all over my body on days when I’m feeling a little solemn.
Nearly Empty/Partially Used Body Sprays:
I have a lot of body sprays in this picture, I know. I tend to use body lotion very quickly, but the body sprays don’t go as fast, so I end up with a ton leftover. I should probably refrain from buying more body sprays for awhile…anyway, let’s commence!
From left to right…
Wild Madagascar Vanilla (far left) is basically the more sophisticated, older sister to Warm Vanilla Sugar (far right). The former is vanilla with African pear, wild jasmine, and white sandalwood. This scent was available about three years ago now, but they discontinued it, unfortunately. They still offer Warm Vanilla Sugar, which is part of their signature collection, but I’m honestly waiting for them to get rid of their signature collection. As a long-time shopper of Bath and Body Works, it seems like they are moving more toward expanding their aromatherapy line.
I purchased Island White Sand this summer, and while it’s a lovely smell with undertones of sparkling tangelo (what is that??), sand, white orchids, driftwood, and coconut water, it just isn’t me. I don’t know what possessed me to buy this scent honestly. It isn’t a “warm” scent and it also isn’t particularly feminine in my opinion, so I barely used it. Pretty much the whole bottle is left. I used the lotion I had paired with it at least, but I may have to find someone who would want this.
Japanese Cherry Blossom is an iconic scent seeing as its part of the signature collection. It makes an excellent perfume because it’s strong and lasts for several hours. (Or maybe this one is so strong because I’ve had it for at least 4 years??) If you like feminine, floral scents, I recommend it. I feel romantic when I wear it and I have it both in the sparkly spray, pictured here, as well as in a non-sparkly spray.
Almond and Vanilla is the evilest aroma Bath and Body Works has created because not only does it smell fantastic because it’s my two favorite scents ever, combined, but they also discontinued it in their stores. Thankfully I bought a lotion in this scent before they completely got rid of it.
Beach Nights Summer Marshmallow is more my jam in regards to summery scents because it smells cozy and delicious! It’s a blend of toasted marshmallows, salt breezes, and S’mores. This spray is from two summers ago and whenever I use it I can’t help but reminisce about that time in my life.
I already talked about the Aquamarine scent, so I’ll skip over it and talk about the Spiced Pumpkin Cider one! It’s a blend of pumpkin, cinnamon, and apple cider, and it’s the ultimate fall aroma! This is from last autumn but they brought it back this year too.
Cashmere Snowflakes is a scent my sister and mom got me into, and it’s the perfect post-holidays, dead-of-winter aroma because it adds some brightness and warmth to your life! I’ve barely used it, so I’m hoping to get more use of it this winter. They offered it during the last two winters, so they will possibly offer it this winter as well.
Bright Autumn Blooms is probably the most floral fragrance I own, but it’s not too much for me. I honestly don’t what flower this is supposed to replicate and there’s no description of it, but it’s quite refreshing. It was part of their autumn collection last fall but it’s no longer available in stores.
Favorite Summer Scent This Season:
I got this travel-sized fragrance for my Disney trip at the beginning of the summer because I was not checking my suitcase. I wish I had gotten a larger size though with a larger lotion (I had a travel-sized lotion but I finished it) because this scent is just…sexy. It’s not a “warm” scent, but it’s super perfume-y in the fact that it’s strong and it smells super good. I hope they offer this one next summer too.
What I’m Wearing This Autumn:
The three items from the left are from the new collection. I’m really excited about the Rose lotion because while it’s not Sandalwood Rose, it’s sufficient enough. It has a lovely floral scent without being too overpowering.
Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte was available either two autumns ago, so I suppose it’s a staple seasonal item. I used it two years ago and then opted to use Spiced Pumpkin Cider last fall. I love the Marshmallow scent more though because it has the warm undertones that I adore.
The Almond and Vanilla is no longer sold in stores but it’s a great autumn scent for when I run out of the MPL lotion, which will definitely happen too soon.
That’s pretty much it for my collection!
Do you love to shop at Bath and Body Works? What are some of your favorite products?
What scents for lotion/body spray do you use in the fall?
This lookbook is a bit long because it’s a whole week of looks, excluding Saturday and Sunday. Hope you guys enjoy them!
I had an interview for the third internship I applied for on Tuesday. I was required to wear “professional” attire…I’m not really a fan of professional attire because…well this article briefly describes how it’s problematic.
Anyway, this was my ensemble…
The dress is from Forever 21 from the huge online sale I got my birthday dress from. I’m wearing a cool necklace I’ve shown a few times on here…I matched the dress with fishnets to make it more interesting as well as Docs.
Taylor Swift Thursday
I was inspired by Taylor Swift for this look…I’ve been really down lately…having breakdowns and feeling unmotivated. A lot of things are just bothering me and weighing me down…I feel alone and lost…it’s a depressing mess. So I decided that I should channel Taylor Swift because she’s gone through a lot of breakups, a lot of hate from people, and other things and if she can be strong and break world records, then I can too. Well, at least I can be strong.
So this is what I wore…I actually got a lot of compliments.
The shorts are corduroy high-waisted shorts I got a long time ago, they come with suspenders. The striped turtleneck is something I got from my grandparents for my birthday…and then I’m just wearing leggings and another pair of Docs that I have. Oh and this headband because it was cold.
This was the look I was trying to emulate a bit…
And this was my makeup…
Anyway, I hope you guys had a good week, thank god tomorrow is Friday
I got this dress online from Forever 21. Forever 21 was having a crazy sale and this dress reminded me of the seventies because of the sleeves and it felt like something that Free People would sell (I love Free People but it’s too expensive) so I got this dress.
Here’s the back…as you can see the material is like a thick, knitted fabric. I wore tattoo tights with this dress that had this creepy corset stitching down the whole leg.
Here’s a closer look at my sexy legs lol the shoes I’m wearing are from my mom’s closet. Like I’ve said before, I hate flats but you can only wear low-cut shoes with these tights so you can get the full effect of the tights. I’m looking at buying a low pair of Docs soon…the ones I’m interested in getting are really expensive though but I know they’d get good use so I may have to make an investment. We shall see…when I finally get nice low-cut shoes I’ll make a shoe collection post because I have a decent amount of shoes in my opinion. They make my tiny closet at school really full lol
This is my beautified face…oh and there you can see the Betsey Johnson necklace my sister got me for my birthday that I wore in my birthday lookbook.
So let’s talk about my makeup today! The palette that I used is by the brand Beauty Gems and it’s called “Change It Up.” I’ve had it for about two years now so that means that I’m ready to buy another one. I have my eyes set on the Urban Decay Vice 3 eyeshadow palette although it’s quite expensive for me but I think I’d like it more than the one I currently have so I’d probably use it more than I use the Beauty Gems one.
I dislike the Beauty Gems palette because the quality of the makeup is just mediocre, like it doesn’t go on that smoothly in my opinion. I got it for ten bucks though so I can’t be expecting too much haha Also, this particular palette has a lot of neutrals, which I never wear because I feel like the point of eyeshadow is to have obnoxious, awesome colors on your eyelids rather than painting on eyeshadow that matches your skintone…but maybe I feel this way because I’m young and I do whatever I want regarding fashion and makeup. I wore a smokey eye and bright red lipstick during the daytime, in which I spent the whole day taking midterms. I don’t care, as long as I think I look good 🙂
Enough blabbering now haha okay so ideally I wanted to do bright red eyeshadow with grey/black eyeshadow around it to give it a smokey effect but my lame-o palette doesn’t have red. Vice 3 doesn’t have a bright red either but it has colors that are closer to red than the ones that I currently have. Anyway, I made do with pink eyeshadow and unfortunately I didn’t have time for fake eyelashes so I just used mascara, along with some eyeliner. I’ve really gotten into wearing fake eyelashes now that I’m not terrified to apply them and that I’ve applied them successfully haha
I’m also wearing foundation and blush. I’m really liking wearing blush, I have never worn it before until last week when I randomly decided to try it. I never get flushed cheeks, even if I run or anything, so it’s cool having flushed cheeks now because of blush. I think in this case it doesn’t suggest that I’m hot and sweaty as if I had run a mile, but it looks really feminine and makes me feel all…”come hither” to attractive people lol I don’t even know what I’m saying. I feel beautiful, okay? lol
I decided to picture my rings today…I always wear rings but I’ve never shown them before. The one on my left hand is a black rose ring I got at a cheap store in Manhattan most likely. The rainbow ring is my pride ring, which I wear religiously so other queer people can know I’m queer too, although most people don’t notice it because it’s subtle. My former boss actually noticed it and asked me about it and it was really uncomfortable…but he asked me about it because he wanted to segue into talking about his gay father, so that was kinda cool.
The last ring I’m wearing is a creepy bunny that reminded me of Frank from Donnie Darko. The fact that it’s a bunny also makes me think of my favorite YouTuber, Bunny Meyer, or Grav3yardgirl. I consider myself a YouTube junkie, and I particularly love her videos because she’s so down to earth and also really crazy. I feel like if I met her we’d actually be friends, and she has become my fashion and makeup inspiration. She’s really funny too, her videos always make me feel better so…if you’re curious about her channel, click here.
Anyway, that’s today’s ensemble. Tomorrow I have an interview so I need to wear “professional” clothing but I found ways to personalize it and make it more “me” rather than the racist, sexist, etc idea of “professionalism.” When I post the pics I’ll tell you guys why I think “professionalism” is dumb.
Lastly, I decided to include two inspiring picture messages today. I’ve been struggling staying positive lately…between school, my family, my ex…there’s just a lot of layers to the problems I feel that I’m facing currently and I came across these pictures on Facebook today. They really resonated with me and I thought I’d share them.
Have a good night! xo
Last Day Being 18
It was raining that day so I decided the best way to combat the gloom (which I love) was to wear tie dye and my bright yellow raincoat with my bright yellow polkadot umbrella! (Those two things aren’t pictured sadly). So I’m wearing my campus tshirt that my buddy tie dyed for me. I’m only wearing mascara, foundation, blush, and chapstick today. I’ve decided that since my skin has been looking pretty good lately that I would start wearing blush more since I think it looks nice.
Although it was freezing I decided to wear black jeggings that retain no warmth, I might as well be naked. But I wore them anyway with my dark blue ruffley socks and my Joker (from Batman) high tops. They’re pretty snazzy shoes.
First Day Being 19 (Do I look older? Wiser? Sexier? All of the above??)
I wish you could see how beautiful my dress is but for now I’ll just describe it…it’s a deep, emerald green long-sleeved, velvet dress. I wore it with my polkadot tights and my striped Superwoman socks and tallish Docs.
Here you can see the color of my dress better…isn’t it nice? I love velvet dresses they’re so vibrant, festive, and warm. Anyway, all I did for my makeup was foundation, blush, winged eyeliner, my new favorite “Sin” Mac lipstick and my Halloween fake eyelashes. I have normal fake eyelashes but I wore my Halloween ones because they were already open and I didn’t think they were THAT dramatic…but they were. Whatever, I love Halloween, Halloween forever.
The necklace I’m wearing is one that my sister picked out for me for my birthday, it’s a funky tiger pendant with chains and bows by Betsey Johnson, I love it she always picks out nice jewelry for me. I matched it with Betsey Johnson earrings she got me a few years ago, you can’t see them very well but they’re basically giant black balls and there’s a bow and green jewel at the top, which matched my dress and the necklace pretty well, if I do say so myself.
I decided to throw on one of my mom’s sweaters that she gave me like five years ago because I’d be walking around in the city a lot…this sweater is pretty ratty and old but I love it because it’s long and the sleeves, as you can see in the ridiculous picture of me, are awesome. Unfortunately I left this sweater in my closet at home because the sleeves would be too annoying for college life.
Here’s a picture of me all bundled up in the city.
Finally, here’s a picture of me and my lil sis by the tree at Rockefeller, before they put up the lights. I had a great birthday, thanks to my parents and lil sis.
Hope you guys have a great Sunday!
I wore my mom’s black, long-sleeved lace button-up shirt (wow, that’s a lot of adjectives) with a three-quarter sleeved shirt underneath. My tops were tucked into a high waisted, bright blue skirt paired with my cool Daisy Duck tattoo tights and really uncomfortable flats that I stole from my mom, but they look nice. I love the zippers.
I wore my signature black winged eyeliner because I can do it really quickly and it looks nice…I also wore my new favorite lipstick color, “Sin” by Mac with their “Burgundy” pencil liner. The only other lipstick color I have is also Mac and it’s called “Viva Glam.” It’s like a bright red color when paired with the lip pencil “Brick.” I love the bright red but I think for fall this darker, “sinful” color is cooler. I really wish I was able to snag the “Sin” lipstick that was part of the Rocky Horror Collection though.
Oh, the earrings I’m wearing are new! There’s a jewelry guy at my school so I’ve been making myself poor buying stuff from him lol
Today (Tuesday) I’m wearing a purple velvet tank top dress. I got it at Pac Sun, which I think is weird considering that they have a Cali vibe and this dress isn’t really “California-y” to me but I love it because I love purple.
I’m also wearing some acid-washed leggings I got at Forever 21 when acid-wash was really trendy. My tall lace-up boots and three-quarter sleeved cardigan finish off the look whoohoo!
The scarf isn’t part of my outfit, I was wearing it with my coat but anyway….this is just dark purple eyeshadow and I added a brighter, lighter purple to the center of my lids but I don’t think anyone can notice because the eyeshadow is so dark.
That’s it for today! If you like anything I wore please comment below, have a great night 🙂
